Redesign + SEO

A Shopify store split by how people actually buy

Security bollard supply & installation · Australia-wide

Bollards get bought two completely different ways. A homeowner buys one online. A facilities manager securing a shopping centre requests a quote and an installation crew. A single storefront has to serve both without compromising either.

Collection architecture

The store is organised by buyer intent rather than by product code. Collections split into commercial, residential, removable, security and driveway — the language buyers actually use when they search, not internal categorisation.

That matters for search as much as for usability: each collection can rank for its own intent cluster instead of every query funnelling into one generic “bollards” page and competing with itself.

Two conversion paths, held in parallel

The header carries Shop Bollards and Get a Quote side by side, and the hero repeats both. Neither is subordinate.

  • Buy online — for DIY installation and single-unit purchases
  • Request an installation quote — for commercial supply-and-install work, with the phone number and sales address surfaced in the utility bar above the fold

Content and supporting pages

A Resources hub carries a DIY installation guide and a blog, which does the job that product pages cannot: capturing the research-stage queries that precede a purchase, and giving the commercial collections something to link from.

Custom Bollards and Installation sit as their own top-level destinations rather than being buried in a dropdown, because both are high-margin enquiry drivers.

Technical detail

  • Titles and descriptions written around Melbourne and Australia-wide supply intent, not just the brand name
  • Lazy loading across 23 of the 25 images on the homepage
  • Organization schema in place
  • Product detail carried in the copy — powder-coating, flush-fitting hinged cover plates, custom colours and finishes — so pages answer the specification questions buyers actually have
